Private Pilot Training

To obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL), you need to meet specific requirements and complete various steps. Here's a detailed list of what it entails:

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Age: Must be at least 17 years old.

  2. Language: Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.

Ground Training

  1. Complete a ground training on topics such as:

    • Aerodynamics

    • Aircraft systems

    • Aviation weather

    • Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)

    • Navigation

    • Flight planning

    • Communication procedures

Flight Training

  1. Flight Hours: Accumulate a minimum of 40 flight hours, including:

    • Dual Instruction (with an instructor): At least 20 hours

      • Cross-country flight: One flight over 100 nautical miles with full-stop landings at three points

      • Night flight: 3 hours, including a cross-country flight over 100 nautical miles and 10 takeoffs and landings to a full stop

      • Instrument training: 3 hours
